Terms of Service

Last updated: June 9, 2026

Overview

These Terms of Service explain the rules for using YourAyah.

By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms. Local consumer rights may still apply depending on where you live.

Accounts

Users may need to create an account with full name, email, and password. Email verification is required before full app access. Users are responsible for keeping their login credentials secure and for activity that occurs under their account.

Subscription Billing

YourAyah is a paid subscription app. Subscriptions for digital app access are billed through Apple In-App Purchase on iOS and Google Play Billing on Android where available.

Subscription terms, renewals, cancellations, refunds, and billing issues are handled by Apple App Store or Google Play according to the platform account and store rules. Subscriptions may renew automatically unless canceled through the user's Apple App Store or Google Play account before the renewal deadline required by the applicable store.

Deleting a YourAyah account does not automatically cancel an Apple App Store or Google Play subscription. Users with active subscriptions should cancel through the App Store or Google Play before deleting their YourAyah account.

Local consumer rights may apply and may vary by location.

Access And Devices

YourAyah may limit each account to a maximum of two active devices. Device access is tied to the authenticated account and a generated local device identifier.

YourAyah may also use reasonable usage limits for AI reflections to control costs, protect service reliability, and keep the experience guided rather than open-ended.

Acceptable Use

  • Do not abuse, attack, reverse engineer, or disrupt the app or backend.
  • Do not attempt to bypass usage limits, subscription access, or device limits.
  • Do not submit unlawful, abusive, threatening, or harmful content.
  • Do not use the app to harass others or violate rights.
  • Do not use the app for spam, automated scraping, or unauthorized data extraction.
  • Do not extract, scrape, or misuse Quran content, translations, app data, or service responses outside intended app use.

Quran Content

YourAyah uses curated Quran references, Arabic text, English translation, explanations, mood tags, theme tags, and reflection actions.

YourAyah aims for accuracy and care, but it is not a fatwa service and does not replace qualified scholarship. Users should consult qualified scholars for religious questions, legal rulings, or complex interpretive matters.

AI Reflection

AI reflection is intended as gentle supportive reflection only. It is not a scholar, therapist, doctor, lawyer, or fatwa source.

  • AI should not invent Quran verses, references, or hadith.
  • AI should not provide religious legal rulings.
  • AI should not provide medical, mental-health, legal, or financial advice.
  • AI should be limited, guided, and connected to approved app context.
  • If a user is in danger, crisis, or may harm themselves or others, they should contact emergency services, a trusted person, or a qualified professional immediately.

No Guarantee Of Outcome

YourAyah is intended to support reflection and spiritual consistency. It does not guarantee any specific spiritual, emotional, religious, health, financial, legal, or life outcome.

Notifications

If users enable notifications, YourAyah may send daily ayah reminders at the selected reminder time. Delivery may depend on device settings, operating system behavior, network conditions, and platform notification rules.

Account Deletion

Users may delete their account from Settings. Account deletion permanently deletes the YourAyah account and signs the user out. Account deletion does not cancel Apple App Store or Google Play subscriptions.

Users with active subscriptions should manage or cancel billing through their Apple App Store or Google Play account before deleting their YourAyah account.

Support

For support, feedback, billing guidance, account deletion questions, or legal inquiries, contact support@yourayah.app.

Changes To These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will provide notice in a reasonable way, such as in the app or by email.
