Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how YourAyah collects, uses, and protects information when you use the app.

YourAyah is based in the United States and may be available to users in other regions. Local privacy rights may vary depending on where you live.

Information We Collect

  • Full name, email address, password handled by Supabase Auth, email verification status, and first name derived from full name for greeting and email personalization.
  • Daily reminder time, notification preference/status, selected mood, helped feedback, anonymous device identifier, and device access records for the two-device account limit.
  • AI reflection information, including selected mood, daily ayah context, approved ayah candidates, limited personal reflection text, and account-based AI usage tracking for signed-in users.
  • Subscription status and entitlement information from Apple App Store, Google Play, and our subscription provider.
  • Support messages and feedback users choose to send to support@yourayah.app.

How We Use Information

  • Create, secure, and maintain user accounts.
  • Verify email addresses and send auth emails through Supabase and Resend.
  • Show the greeting, daily ayah, reminders, mood reflections, and limited personal responses.
  • Limit AI usage by signed-in account, manage subscription access, and support the two-device account limit.
  • Respond to support requests, maintain reliability, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.

EU/UK Legal Bases

For EU/UK users, YourAyah may rely on contract, consent, legitimate interests, and legal obligation depending on the activity.

Notifications And Reminders

If you enable notifications, YourAyah schedules daily reminders at your selected reminder time. Reminder notifications may include the English ayah text and Quran reference. You can change reminder time or disable notifications through app settings or device settings.

AI Reflection

YourAyah uses AI for limited, mood-triggered reflection support. The AI is not a scholar, therapist, fatwa source, legal advisor, or medical provider. AI responses are generated from approved Quran context supplied by the app and should not invent Quran verses, references, or hadith.

Personal reflection text may be sent to a Supabase Edge Function and then to an AI provider such as OpenAI to generate a short supportive response. Anonymous device ID may be kept as secondary metadata or fallback when no authenticated user exists.

Service Providers

  • Supabase for authentication, database, Edge Functions, and backend storage.
  • Resend for production auth email delivery through Supabase SMTP settings.
  • Subscription infrastructure providers for subscription status and purchase management.
  • Apple App Store and Google Play for subscription billing and account-level purchase management.
  • OpenAI or another AI provider through Supabase Edge Functions for limited guided reflection and personal response generation.

Account Deletion And Retention

You can request account deletion from Settings. Account deletion permanently deletes your YourAyah account and signs you out.

Deleting a YourAyah account does not automatically cancel an Apple App Store or Google Play subscription. If you have an active subscription, cancel it through the App Store or Google Play before deleting your account.

YourAyah retains information only as long as reasonably needed to provide the app, meet legal obligations, prevent abuse, resolve disputes, and support users. Backups, logs, provider records, billing records, and legal compliance records may persist for a limited time.

International Data Transfers

YourAyah is based in the United States and may use service providers that process information in the United States or other countries. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international data transfers.

U.S./California Privacy Note

If California privacy law applies, California residents may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, and receive information about certain uses of personal information, and to be free from discrimination for exercising privacy rights.
